Little Leaf Pickers
cc-4.jpg

Yesterday we went out on a mini adventure to the park. The park the dogs visit every day. The regular, most ordinary park. But yesterday it was a park of opportunity. Leaf picking opportunities! We went to find our props for our Autumn Snap Cards and we found them in abundance!

I hope these pictures capture the brotherly love that poured out in that park. I have never been more proud of my sons, even though they were getting filthy! I totally and utterly adore them!

Autumn Snap

Easy peasy snap cards made from nature. Earlier we went to the park armed with our harvest sack and collected a bag of autumn leaves ready for our snap game.

I drew numbers and different emotion faces on them and then we turned them over playing our version of snap. But the options are endless, letters, animals, if you can draw it you can play it!

Angel Babies

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Today I want to think about all the babies born as angels and send my love to all the parents and siblings who have suffered and endured the most terrible heartbreak and those who had the joy of their children for only a short time.

Today I count my lucky stars that I have two healthy boys.

Today I will think of the members of our family and friends who have been through the pain and torture of miscarriage, devastating 20 week scans and stillbirth. A horror that too many people experience through absolutely no fault of their own. I can't understand why some people have healthy babies and some do not. I can't understand that it sometimes feels like there are people who have babies who didn't even want them, who don't care for them, who neglect them and worse, when my friends and family didn't get to experience the joy of welcoming their newborn.

I will light a candle at 7pm today, for all the angel babies and hope that raising awareness of this painful subject will help support those who have lost.

The UK organisation can be found here.

There is also a great support organisation, Saying Goodbye who run free remembrance services nationwide, an opportunity for grieving parents to come together.
