tidying up the garden - a mother of boys

Trying to tidy the garden in record time as the husband has been starved of attention recently and we are off to see friends for the weekend tomorrow after breakfast so really need to put in some wifely time tonight.

Collected a menagerie of items that suggest there can only be boys in this house!

A plastic grabbing hand toy, a hula hoop (broken hence boys), one shoe (from the big boy), one sock (from the small boy), a sofa cushion, a bath mat, a make shift pirate treasure basket, pre school fleece (even though he wasn’t at pre school today), wet pair of  shoes and a foot pump.

Phew, now I can relax and come inside because there is nothing to tidy up inside………!

top 5 tricks my boys have learnt from dada

My husband is a loving father and loves the fact that everyone says the boys are mini versions of him (i really thought I had the stronger genes!!). I sometimes watch in wonder at the things they are learning from him and sometimes I despair! Here are the current top 5….

1. Tucking winkys into your legs and then shouting “look at me I’m a girl!”

2. Q. What’s hot? A. Auntie (my sister)

3. Q. What do we like? A. Boobies

4. Making a Mama sandwich, I end up the cheese and they are the bread (usually naked bread)

5. The way to describe someone who looks beautiful as “bang tidy”

Honestly… I pity their future wives!!!

best in show

I have just booked Sammy’s 3rd birthday entertainment - a pet party! This is all new to me as the only petting zoo party I have ever seen is in the film Mrs Doubtfire! Not quite able to replicate the donkey but we will have a whole host of creatures to be terrified by the grabbing hands of 20 pre schoolers!

A bearded dragon, giant snails, hedgehogs, chicks and bunnies! My husband has ruled out the royal python on account of his severe phobia and says he will not be coming at all if I go ahead and book either the python or the corn snakes! I was so looking forward to Ollie being wrapped up by a python like Mowgli in the Jungle Book!

I also have come across these ridiculously gorgeous rosettes which I am going to buy for the party game prize winners!
