We are off to a little pals birthday party later, (such a shame about the windy and wet weather as the bouncy castle is cancelled) and Sammy has been asking all morning is it time to go yet?! I found a couple of things for her present, hopefully that won't get duplicated!
It's always tricky to find something new that either they haven't got or that someone else won't buy as often we all shop in the same supermarkets or kiddy shops!
I saw this lovely, hard back book made from recycled paper, by Ladybird and thought it was perfect for the inquisitive little 3 year old! It features lots of flaps and slides with all sorts of facts about animals. It has a lovely texture to the pages and not too girly so would suit a boy or girl. I bought it in a children's shop in Christchurch, Dorset but you can find it at a bargain price here.
I also found in the same shop a BigJigs wooden draughts game. The birthday girl has a younger sister so although this is something she will have to play with a grown up, I thought it would be nice in a way, to have something that she didn't have to share for a while!
Big boy then lovingly helped wrap them and stuck a load of tissue paper on! He had lots of fun and it distracted him from wanting to open the presents himself!
Oh yes, I am too cool for school. I have a Spice Girls Polaroid camera!
I adored the Spice Girls but actually bought this well after they had retired, secondhand!
But I love it. I've got some fab Polaroid film too with borders and images around the frame. Look out for some in my next few posts!
I am linking up with I Heart Snapping, a fab new photography blog. It is for every kind of aspiring or professional photographer so join in!
