Current Crush - My dreamy office

We are thinking of changing big boy's room and the guest room around this summer. We are really lucky and we have a spare room which links to a 'jack and jill' style family bathroom. There really are only a few times a year that we use both guest rooms, when our family from Penzance come and when my husband's parents stay (as my MIL can't stand the snoring!) So sorry to them, but it will be a sofa bed in (hopefully) my new office on offer!

But I am getting to a point where it is really distracting working in the kitchen and I need an office space of my own! Plus big boy's toys are bursting out of every room downstairs and he would really benefit from having a bigger room to have lots more of his toys in!

This week my current crush, linking up with Danielle at Framed Frosting is my dreamy office!

I really thought I would have wanted to go all pink and girly but all I can imagine is an elegant, grown up space of rich dark woods. Follow my Pinterest board to see how the project comes along over the summer!

Current Crush Thursdays

Leaving on a jet plane...
fly-13.jpg

Our boys were given a parental 9/10 on the flight yesterday! This was mostly thanks to being in wonderful seats (the perks of being on Mum's staff travel) and Granny being an extra pairs of hands when they needed distracting!

I would definitely recommend the Peppa Pig iPad game and as we got stuck in traffic on the way to Heathrow, (M25 in rush hour) we went through the I Spy book I made during the flight!

The children's meals were excellent quality and there was masses of it! Big boy adored asking the stewardess for a cup of milk and we managed to avoid any major spillages!

I wish I could afford to fly in Club by ourselves, I don't think we will ever be able to afford it, so we are very appreciative of the times we have had on Mum's staff travel!

The boys are spoilt rotten I know!

Terrific trunki

The trunki finally had it's first flight yesterday! Big boy had it from Auntie and Uncle for his first birthday!

I chose strategic toys and puzzles that were light and packed as flat as possible! I took jigsaws out of the boxes and put them in freezer bags and a set of build your own dinosaurs with detachable body parts!

They worked a treat and we didn't even get through all the books! The cbeebies magazine we bought at the airport was a big hit too.

We of course couldn't forget puppy and dogdog!

When we landed he scooted around baggage reclaim using the horns as a steering wheel!
