Beautiful Bottles

I had my first real elbows at dawn moment this week. I pop into the Weston Hospice charity shop once a week if possible, as there are always treasures to be found. I have smiled at a fellow bargain hunter a few times and we even had a quick chat once about our joy of secondhand discoveries.

However this week we both clocked a tired looking plastic storage basket but it was me who just pipped her to the post, racing the buggy around the crockery aisle! She did come up to the counter with a gorgeous rustic cow bell but I got the real goodies.

Ranging from 50p to £1 max, I took almost every one they had that was in perfect condition. They make beautiful vases for single buds and once they had a good clean came up sparkling. I love the detail on some of them, the names, the measurement indicator markings.

I also spied another couple of crystal bud vases to add to my more dainty collection, 75p each, a couple of sweet jars for 50p and two tumblers to add to my mis matched glassware. I then caught sight of these deep, footed dishes for £2, which will look great on a sweet table at our next party!

Did you find any bargains this week? Linking up with Magpie Monday and A Living Space.

If you can't find any vintage bottles on your travels try giving a new set an old lease of life. I found this tutorial on my new favourite blog Craftberry Bush!

I'm sure you are all getting fed up of seeing this but voting closes at midnight tomorrow, the 26th, for the MAD Blog Awards. Click here if you think I deserve the Best Craft or Best Photography award ;)
