Easter Chocolate Spoons
The easiest Easter craft on the planet! I loved it, my 3 year old loved it, even Ollie at 20 months had a go!
All you need is some spoons, chocolate and toppings. Melt your chocolate slowly in the microwave or over a pan of hot water. Spoon a little of the melted chocolate onto the end of the spoon. Fill the well of the spoon slowly so it doesn't spill over the edges.
Prop your spoon up by the handle to let the chocolate settle. I found a cookie cutter was the perfect height.
Add your decorations and leave to set in the fridge for half an hour.
We wrapped our little milk chocolate ones in mini cellophane Easter bags for preschool end of term treats, which Sammy proudly handed round after the hat parade!
The white chocolate ones are for grown up Easter treats!
My favourite has to be the gingered eggs. Like the story of the goose that laid the golden egg! I bought them, but you can easily make your own by rolling chocolate eggs in dry ginger powder. I made nests from raisins mixed with melted chocolate.
I tried a few different ways to make the plain spoons more attractive. Ribbon is easy and effective, but I love the feathered egg which I tied with string and the washi tape. Seriously I love washi tape! You can pretty up anything!
Made in minutes eaten in seconds! And for little ones, not too much chocolate. Our eggs on spoons!
What have you made this Easter? Let me know - I like easy and quick enough that I can keep both boys attention!
