Fanny Adams - a little find by Blagdon Lake
Today we had a busy but wonderfully relaxing day. I had a family photography session this morning for a truly sweet family in Portbury. They soon realised I love having feet in my photos and I got some great photos of them as the children performed brilliantly. (I took a packet of super sour fruit pastilles which helped!)
When I got home the house was a bomb site and both boys had bumps on them (small boy head and big boy knee) but they had survived!
Off we trouped, wagon in tow, to Blagdon Lake. We are so lucky to have lots of lovely places near us and this is one of them.
The boys loved being in the wagon together (who needs a fancy double buggy?!) and despite a few drops of rain we had an adventure!
I got stung on the bottom by stinging nettles when bending down to take a photo and big boy had his first wee in the woods! No photo evidence of either to post thank goodness.

Rain eventually stopped play but that was absolute fate.
We hurried to the car and drove up the windy, stone walled streets and stumbled upon Fanny Adams.
An undeniably cute vintage shop and tea room, nestled in the heart of Blagdon Village.
It sells vintage clothes, accessories, jewellery and has a charming husband and wife team serving hot drinks and homemade cakes.
Big boy had a wine glass of milk!
I found the very thing I needed. A vintage, silk headband which is perfect for my brother's wedding in June! What a find!
If you get a chance to stop in for a tea and a slice of their carrot cake you will be one jammie dodger!
