Molly's Den - a vintage emporium

I discovered a hidden treasure last weekend.

I just about held my cool and refrained from running up and down the warehouse skipping and exclaiming yippee!

Molly's Den is a 16,000 sqft retail and trade warehouse bursting with unique treasures and vintage finds. It's home to more than 250 individual traders and has a cafe and children's play corner so you could easily lose a couple of hours in there! They are hosting vintage fairs and even have a classic car show in the works.

It's so successful, they are opening a sister warehouse across the car park next week!

Every corner I turned there was something I could have whisked to the till point. Trunks, bikes, dressers and a vintage terrarium (that I am kicking myself I didn't buy) but as we were heading home later that afternoon with a boot bursting with Easter paraphernalia and suitcases of washing I had to plan strategic purchases!

I lusted over these haberdashery drawers and even gave them a tender stroke before spying a couple of vintage suitcases (perfect for a photography prop) for £3 and £5 and a mint condition crystal cake stand (for another of my plans).

I almost had to stop before we left to let me eyes take in all the wonder before me! I will definitely be going back when we are in Southbourne in August. I managed a quick scoot around the mezzanine first floor, which was more clothes and home ware than furniture, before the boys had exhausted the play area with Granny.

The cases look great at the end of the bed in our guest room, and my Granny's brown leather case fits perfectly on top. The slighter newer one on the bottom I picked up for £4 in the local charity shop! They are great for storing old photos and birthday cards - I am a terrible hoarder!

Have you been to a warehouse type emporium before? I'd love to know of any others to visit!
