National Stationery Week - notebook love
It's wonderful having an excuse to post about my unhealthy obsession with notebooks.
National Stationery Week runs from the 22 -28th April and is encouraging everyone to pick up their pens!
I love sending cards, my family always send postcards, even if it's just from a weekend away in England and I keep them all in a little tin in the living room.
I constantly make lists and get great satisfaction from recycling a completed, crossed out, to do list.
I can never resist a sweet looking note book. I carry around an enormous Filofax, bursting with receipts, torn out pages of magazines and there is always a notebook stuffed inside. I have one for blog ideas, several I use as background images within a blog post and some that are just for home ideas and one for the boys.
I have even started a mini one for my new niece, Yasmin lu! Things I don't want to forget about this precious time and things I would love to spoil her with one day.
My favourite notebooks are tricky to get hold of, unless you have a brother with a US shipping address! I adore the designs by Carolyn Gavin, the talented designer at ecojot. One day a custom order will be mine.
When we visited New York in February we stumbled upon the Tenement Museum and it's incredible shop. Notebooks galore, including this one made from photographs of walls!
Do you have a closet stationery obsession?! I remember that last week in August, being so exciting as a child, as that meant we got to go and choose a new pencil case for the new school term! In fact, I was more of a tin girl!
Celebrate National Stationery week by sending someone you love a letter. I shall be writing to Yasmin lu.
