NYC Day 3 - Flea Market finds
At first we thought the empty tables were a sign of a sad time ahead but just around the corner were a collection of sellers all with incredible finds.
A vintage counter, which I haggled and got for $6, which looks fab on our console table in the lounge, a vintage Fisher Price microscope set - $2! It will be a perfect present for Ollie in the summer as he is having a Doctor theme birthday!
My brother bought 3 retro EXIT signs for his new home office as a cool piece of wall art for $5, a metal stag's head and my sister in law got some great bits for a bridal shower party she is hosting including a genuine mason jar, box of c200 envelopes for $2 and 12 painted milk bottle vases for $2.
I was sorely tempted with the old camera collection and the old window frames, which would make awesome picture frames but bearing in mind anything we bought had to go in a suitcase, the heavier bulky items had to stay for the next bargain hunter.
A real experience and I can't wait to go back in the summer when the better weather will bring out more stall holders!
