Weekend Discoveries

This weekend has been extraordinarily busy.

On Friday I took the boys to The Bishop's Palace as part of a Mum's Diary Review, on Saturday we had a lengthly list of jobs to get done at home before heading to Bristol for the Festival of Nature, the UK's largest free Natural History Event. Today we have an early start as we are blasting along the M4 to Legoland for a day out with all the MAD Blog Awards Finalists and their families! It will be so lovely to meet everyone in person ahead of the awards ceremony in September. Although I suspect I won't get too long to chat, as the boys are desperate to go on all the rides. I will post a good few photos I am sure, later this week!

A few of my discoveries this week: 

The Rose Shed blog is written by the talented florist Rachel Husband (what a perfect name for a wedding florist) and I adore her posts which guide you through the flowers in season that month. This is June.  

Couture Craft is a contemporary craft and lifestyle blog populated with pretty pictures. Girl's Night In  is the best selling book which has gone straight on my wish list!

David Lebovitz writes an insightful and critically acclaimed travel and food blog from his home in Paris. He has written 6 books and the photography makes me want to cook! Me - a non baker! 

Purl Bee, one click is all it takes to be transported to their crafty heaven. There's tutorials to follow and pin for the future and an online shop, which makes me feel the need to own a collection of knitting needles, even though I have no desire to knit! And these - cross stitch iPhone cases. I want one.

Be prepared to lose an hour getting lost reading Take Courage. I am hooked. 

I don't use Instagram - for no particular reason, I am just in the habit of using 2 photography apps I love. But I spied this photo by Cindy and it makes me want to sign up just to follow her.  

And lastly I have discovered a passion for orange blossom. I made up a beautiful cocktail, perfect for summer parties, when we got home from Bristol. I just about managed to take some photos for the post this week before the sun went down. And then we drank them!
